9th Judicial Circuit Public Defender

• The office of public defender in each circuit defends ​financially indigent criminal defendants. There is a ​public defender in each of Florida's 20 judicial circuits.

• A public defender is appointed to represent the ​defendant by the presiding judge once it has been ​determined that the individual cannot afford legal ​counsel. The Ninth Judicial Circuit is comprised of ​Orange and Osceola counties.

This is a Universal Primary. Since there are no challengers ​from an opposing party in November, all voters will ​participate in voting for a this race even if not in that party.
