9th Judicial Circuit Court Judges

  • There are 20 circuits established by the Legislature. ​Within each, there is a varying number of judges ​depending on the area’s population and caseload.


  • Referred to as courts of general jurisdiction, the ​majority of jury trials, civil and criminal cases ​originate in these courts.


  • Circuit Court judges are elected by the voters of the ​circuits in nonpartisan elections.


  • Circuit Court judges serve 6-year terms, with no ​term limit.
