• Each county has a county court. The number of ​county judges varies with the population and ​caseload of the county.

• Sometimes referred to as “the people’s court,” a ​large part of this court’s work deals with traffic ​citations, misdemeanors and civil disputes involving ​$30,000 or less.
  

• County Court Judges serve a 6-year term with no ​term limit.
