Orange County Tax Collector

• The Tax Collector is responsible for administering ​the collection and distribution of ad valorem taxes; ​directs the annual tax certificate sale; issues auto ​tags and transfers vehicle titles; handles all DHSMV ​services such as driver’s licenses, auto tags, title ​registrations, and renewals.

• The Tax Collector also:
  
• Collects business taxes for local authorities.
  
• Handles boat registration renewals and title ​transfers; issues hunting and fishing licenses; ​provides limited driver license functions; and ​manages the issuance of county occupational ​licenses.
  
• Collects all taxes due to Orange County, ​municipalities, special districts, and water ​management districts and disburses those funds.
  

• Elected every 4 years.
